The Hall Of Fame Inductees Are In! Let The Controversy Begin!

The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductees are in, so let the controversy begin!

On the rock side Ozzy Osbourne is FINALLY in, along with Foreigner, Dave Mathews, and the birthday boy himself, Peter Frampton! Joining them is the Queen of Hip-Hop soul Mary J. Blige, Kool & The Gang, A Tribe Called Quest and Cher!

The Rock Hall is also honoring Jimmy Buffett, MC5, Dionne Warwick, and Norman Whitfield with the Musical Excellence Award, and Alexis Korner, John Mayall, and Big Mama Thornton earned the Musical Influence Award. So John Mayall gets in, but no Blues Breakers.

Suzanne de Passe is, also being honored with the Ahmet Ertegun Award, for non-performing industry professional who's had a major influence on art form, as a long time executive at Motown Records, which includes the discovery of the Jackson 5.

The snubs this year are colossal, and none bigger than Mariah Carey, whose success rivals that of the Michael Jackson's, lyrical innovators of Hip-Hop Eric B. & Rakim, alt rock revolutionaries Jane’s Addiction, Lenny Kravitz, Brit-Pop titans Oasis, Sinéad O’Connor, and the sexiest voice alive Sade.

The 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction will air Saturday, October 19, and on Disney+, with a special airing on ABC and available on Hulu.
